David Tamés is a media maker working in both linear and immersive forms. He recently exhibited Reality’s Fugue: Genesis at the New Hope Arts in New Hope, Pennsylvania, a collaboration with F. Samuel Brainard that immerses participants in a virtual world inspired by Brainard’s book, Reality’s Fugue, illustrating how we create a shared world. He directed bookartbookshop, a short documentary about a unique shop in London, and co-directed Farm and Red Moon, a feature documentary investigating humane animal slaughter. David was co-founder of MIT TechTV, a video-sharing site, and in the early days of web video, he was part of the team that produced The East Village, a groundbreaking entertainment website. He serves on the Filmmakers Collaborative board of directors and is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Art + Design, College of Arts, Media and Design, Northeastern University.
