Ámbar Reyes is a social science researcher, artist and filmmaker. She recently received her M.Sc. in Comparative Media Studies from MIT. Her work revolves around questions of labor, migration, media, and platforms. At the Open Documentary Lab, she is interested in exploring innovative approaches to storytelling and documentary, particularly using emerging technologies and digital platforms. She also focuses on examining the social and cultural impact of media, as well as the power dynamics involved in the production and distribution of content. Ambar is passionate about using her research and artistic practice to raise awareness and spark critical conversations about important social issues.

Outside of academia, Ámbar can usually be found biking along the Charles. She enjoys dancing (salsa, anyone?) and exploring outdoors. You can check her work at www.ambar.com.mx.
