Yara’s game thematic is based on immigration and queer culture. It is an adventure and puzzle game where the main players use magic and fictitious horoscopes based on indigenous Lebanese folklore to navigate the world. The world itself is designed by an exuberant modular kit of parts that serves as architectural components. Their design comes from Arabic precedents of housing, marketplaces, communal living, and harbor design from the Phoenician era. As you play the game you unlock new blueprints and shuffle the spatial organization of buildings. The goal of the game is to build community. There are three levels and many characters.
